Bareback & Blankets

It was rainy for the past week, so I never got the horse sealed… but it’s supposed to be nice for the next couple days so I’ll try to get him sealed soon! Even though my week was very busy, I managed to get some projects accomplished this past weekend. Saturday was spent making a blanket since it’s getting cooler (at least in most parts of the country) and I got this really nice fabric from the dollar tree.

I really enjoyed putting all the little details together!

It’s definitely the best blanket I’ve ever made. And also the first one I’ve made using bias tape. I’m very happy with the result!
(Below are the three most recent blankets I’ve made)

And here are two of my first blankets … I’d say that I’ve improved 😅

And today…
I’ve been working on a few different things, as you can tell😆

By the way, did you see my gorgeous Adamek in the blanket? He looks so good in everything 😍

Anyway, back on topic, I made three fall colored lead ropes,

And started several bareback pad sets. I really like this one, it’s so pretty. I was going to sell it but just might end up keeping it!

I also found some old winter fabric so I’m going to make a few of these and sell them as it gets closer to winter.

  1. Wow! Those look really good! That bias tape looks really even, congrats! Do you have any tips on using bias tape for blankets?

    1. Well, this is my first time using it, but the one thing I’d say that is most important is to do tiny sections at a time! That definitely helps!
