More tiny things

Image
They multiplied. Or I might have made some more little rope halters… I think I’m addicted to making these! Not that this means I’m going into Stablemate scale tack! No way! Although I really admire those who do.                                                                          I’ll stick to Traditional sized stuff, thank you very much. Even though it’s smaller, Stablemate stuff takes twice as long to make, for me anyway. But really, I do admire those Stablemate tack makers! And now I’m wondering… does anybody know of any mini whinny tack?   I’ll go back to Traditional horses now. Or maybe in a few days…

Crazy Tiny

Today I did something crazy. I made a halter. But that doesn’t sound crazy? It sounds like something that any sane tackmacker would do. But this isn’t any plain old rope halter… it’s stablemate sized. This is my first stablemate scaled piece— ever. I was sitting at my desk and thought “why shouldn’t I make a stablemate rope halter?” I knew it would be hard. And hard it was. The little rope snapped several times, and I lost my first lead rope hook to the very gray floor  Although I did find several scraps And two baby daddy longlegs  But eventually I finished it. I think it suits Goldie nicely                           And little bunny update: They are growing and LOVE lettuce!!!!! And for those wondering; my three new herd members should be here by Monday.

Paint Ponies

Image
Today I painted ponies. Well, other things too, but the ponies took up much of the day. Here is my ‘new’ stablemate mare, I’mnotnamedyet. Name suggestions are welcome!!!   I also attempted to make a chestnut rabicano…  Did NOT go so well! But on the bright side I finished my plow!!! Yippe! And my Schleich mounting block  And yes, yesterdays third and final horse was… Dani!   So now I’ll have two Breyerfest 2021 horses! If I could pick any past Breyerfest to attend it would definitely be Horse Of A Different Color!  I love everything about it! And the models were probably the best from recent years. I’ll be awaiting your arrival Catch Me, Josie, and Dani!

All the animals

It seems like today was full of cute and cuddly animals. It all started last night… my mom found three baby bunnies right in the middle of a busy parking lot. If she left them there they would get squished, so she put the two that she managed to catch in a grocery cooler  bag and brought them home. I wonder how they got into the parking lot in the first place? They are SO cute! We put them in our spare chicken coop this morning. They seem to like it. :) After working at Capstone farm this morning, we went plant shopping. It was at my favorite place that sells plants. Not because of the plants but because they have animals to visit! Three horses, three goats, two bunnies, and way too many chickens to count! I obviously went to say hello to the horses first. The chestnut is Zeus but the palomino is new so I don’t know her name. The little pony Duvan ( some sort of name like that; I always forget) Oh, he woke up  Hello little buddy  ADORABLE  Still yawning from his nap  The new mare is c
