Photo Show Entry Completed

Image
After a few weeks of putting it off, I finally completed my Breyer June photo show entry. I brainstormed for a few days then came up with an idea in my mind. And today was the day to make it a reality. I went into the woods and searched until I found a perfect branch, dragged it to the yard, then brought all the necessary horses out. After a while of setting up and adjusting, here is the edited photo: It is exactly what I pictured in my head! I love it so much!!! I thought about the theme “Pasture Pals” and wanted to do something with horses of all different scales. Then I thought, well it should definitely have a person too… so then came the breakthrough! After lots of hard work (seriously! It was blazing hot today! I was literally dripping sweat!) I completed it  :) I don’t have any Little Bits sized Breyer but I used everything from Mini Whinnies and Stablemates                          To Classic and Traditional  And since I needed something in the background… Two more pasture pals

Todays ride

Today I rode Phantom. He was really good boy. We did some trot exercises, Working him over some poles at the trot I was supposed to do the same thing at the canter But then he trotted Back up to canter He trotted again  Then I lost a stirrup  Try again, Finally!  And again! Then we hired it to a cross-rail. That’s my first time doing that on him :) He’s such a good boy!!!! When he isn’t slobbering on mešŸ¤£ Or breaking fences… Yep, he did that. No I didn’t…. What are you talking about?…. Oh Phantom.

A little something…

A few errands added some new supplies to my house. Among them are; Some paintbrushes(I use the hair for hoof picks) which we were somehow out of, even though I have three little sisters who paint??? Some red fabric and felt These adorable little pearls. Now I’m thinking of making some kind of summer/beach halter… Some chain because I’m selling out of stall guards really quick. And wire, And a few different colors of ribbon Adding to my growing stack. And I may have found something really cool that I wanted  needed. This is the coolest storage container ever! The bottom is a ruler… The top has space for bigger things… And the four drawers are perfect for all my little things! I also took the opportunity to clean my desk--again.  Always more desk cleaning…

Painting Party

Slowly but surely stuff on my to do list is getting done. I painted my Schleich hitching post, I was going to use a halter to tie him up, but I realized that I’ve never made a Schleich one!!!šŸ¤ÆšŸ˜… Another item added to my list… I also painted my potatoes  manure. Looks great in photos! I also painted one these: And put a base coat on my mini Lippizaner William. And am almost done my Schleich jump The poles are the only things left to do :) That’s all for today!

New Halter

I have been very busy the last few days. Unfortunately not busy with model horse stuff. I’ve only made one thing since I last posted! But since I have nothing else to show you…                                                                                 Snowman’s new halter! I went to Michael’s  the other day, and found some leather lace. This is actually my first time working with leather lace because I haven’t been able to find anything at a reasonable price recently. I’m still getting the hang of skiving the leather, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Since I can’t afford the hardware from RioRondo I made all the hardware myself except for the jump rings and lobster clasps. Would there be any interest in a tutorial for these? Well, that’s all for today. Hopefully I’ll have something new for you tomorrow!!!

All the things

Besides riding a grumpy horse, today was filled with little treats and a halter. I finally got my clay out and made a bunch of little things.  Some tiny carrots and apples  Baby carrots And some grain. It took a while to make but when I put it in the tub I was like “ that’s it?!” I’ll need to make some more. Snowman wants that carrot… And Misty thinks no one is looking. The grain works great for photos! Oh my goodness! He’s a real Snowman!!! A salt lick. Well, it will be one. A curry comb It fits in a dolls hand It’s not the best, but I was trying to do the bottom without the whole thing falling apart so I’d say it’s a success  A sweat scraper           And a bottle of… something  And NOT POTATOES!!!! My whole family thinks that they’re potatoes! But nope! You would not want to eat these! It manure! Well, it will be once I paint it. And a half completed hoof pick      And I also made some books over again that I had first made about a year ago. The covers are printables from Nichelle
