2023

This has been a fantastic year! My second year in the hobby, and I loved every minute of it. I’ve learned a lot and added lots of new horses to my herd. I’ve made so many things and gotten so much better at making them. I also started this blog, and had a great year on Etsy.  I have to cut this short, but before I end I would like to thank some people.                                                           Jennifer Buxton, for writing her amazing blog full of endless knowledge of everything model horse related, and for helping me add on to my herd by sending me 5 beautiful Breyers                                                         All my fellow bloggers, thank you for doing the hard work of blogging for this hobby and the people in it   My best friend Julianna, for being a fellow model horse enthusiast and gifting me a few Breyers and two barns!                                                                              Everyone who reads this blog, thank you so much for taki

Christmas haul Part 1–mini whinnies advent calendar

Image
I am happy to say that a few horses joined my herd for Christmas :)  Most were gifts from my family but I did end up getting a few myself….πŸ‘€. This post will be covering Breyers new mini whinny advent calendar.  I love minis so this was awesome! I can’t tell you how much fun I had making all these little scenes πŸ˜‚ I would have tried to set it up outside, but it has been raining and muggy every day since before Christmas.  But I think this white background is pretty cool.  These are the people that came with it. And all the pretty ponies 😍 Along with all the stuff/props This is the total haul  I could just leave it at this, but I need to introduce you to them individually πŸ˜†                                  “Perfection”              ASB (American Saddlebred) Stallion                           “Patience”                             Belgian Draft Stallion                                        “Passion”                             Thoroughbred Stallion

Tutorial: How To Make Halter Squares And Buckles For Traditional Model Horses

Image
Hey everyone! I finally finished the tutorial! Let’s get started :) Supplies:  Wire (I use 18 gauge)          Smaller Wire ( mine strangely doesn’t say what gauge it is but it’s an half the size of the 18 gauge)        Wire cutters  Optional: A Ruler A Hammer One of your favorite horses ;) We’re going to start with the halter squares: First get your 18 gauge wire and clip off a couple inches. Remember, it’s better to have to much than not enough. Next you’re going to take the wire cutters and use those to hold and bend the wire. Remember not to pinch it too hard or else it will cut the wire. You’re going to bend it to the side to make a 90 degree angle like this: Then do that same thing again so it should look like this: Then cut the short side just a little less than a quarter of a inch  After that, hold the wire directly across from the section you just cut off And bend it inwards so it’s touching the tip of wire you cut. After that’s done, you’re going to hold it with the cutters j

The Christmas Surprise

Image
Well I’m sure most, if not all, of you have heard what mold it’s on and seen pictures, I still think Wassali deserves a post of his own.  They didn’t show any pictures (they said they would do that on Christmas Day) but they did have this in the description: It’s on the huckleberry bey mold! Not what I was expecting, but I didn’t think it would be on Emma like most people thought. Strangely, all the details in the description disappeared soon after it was released . This is all it says for colors markings and the mold now: You'll randomly receive one of four colors on an iconic Kathleen Moody sculpture! Take heed, if your name is found on the naughty list, you may receive one of 24 pieces of glossy black "Coal." Check back on Christmas Day for the full reveal! A good amount of people have already received theirs and posted pictures. Here they are:      *not my pictures* First my personal favorite, glossy metallic sparkling red❤️ Then we have the glossy metallic sparkling
